Fallen...

I am lost.
I have no sense of direction.
Turning right or left just leads to another situation.
Turning back just leaves me with another complication.
My soul starts to malfunction as I slowly lose hold of that connection.
But You have never left me... not even for a second.
So why is it that I feel nothing more than emptiness?
There is only one explanation.
I have walked away and fallen for all the temptation,
further and further away with every distraction.
But I am not forsaken for You have never left my side.
For You have said Walk to me and I will run to you,
call Me and I will find you.
The light of Your guidance is what I so dearly miss,
I need it to remove this darkness within.
My Lord I have traveled so far away,
bring me me back to the right way.
Oh Allah! Grant me the strength to pick my self up
for I have fallen so low and I have allowed this world to run through my veins.
Forgive me is all that I can say and do not allow me to ever go astray.
What I am and how I feel is something only You can take away.
This pain in my heart is beyond any pain,
I feel my Imaan slowly starting to slip away.
Oh Allah! Bring me back to You before it becomes TOO LATE.

Umbrella Of The Ummah...

Our Ummah is in such a state that if our beloved Prophet (SAW) was to see us right now He may not even recognize us. Our Brothers and Sister around the world are suffering to the extent of thinking that its a norm. There suffering is NOT a norm, it's completely out of order. I don't know when the world will start to realise that enough is enough, you can't fight guns with guns.Where is our common sense? Whilst the politicians think they are fighting an evil it is costing the lives of innocent civilians. The simple Human right to life is slowly starting to become a myth for some people. We need change. That change starts with US as an individual. We need to understand that we as an Ummah are one body, if one part of the body is not functioning properly it is up to us to fix it. If we want to change the state of our Ummah we need to change ourselves and those around us first, without those basic foundations how is it that we plan to change the world. Every action we do in this world will have a repercussion on our Ummah, it is our responsibility to make sure it is a good one. Without helping ourselves how can we truly help others?

Oh believers our Lord is One.
Our Ummah should be one.
But are our hearts truly one?
Is our Ummah one body?
Do we share the same tears, heart and lungs?
Or is that just another analogy we choose to ignore?
How much blood has been shed?
How much tears have been dropped?
How much souls are now gone?
Their pain should be our pain,
but are we an umbrella to our believers when it truly rains?
Are you living for yourself or you living for they (Ummah)?
Are you clinging on to the dust called luxury,
or has the Dunya betrayed you and left you insane?
Or are you waiting for the Akhirah because the Dunya has nothing but afflictions and pain?
Tears for our brothers and sisters have been slain,
cheers to the ones that have been brave.
There are those amongst us burying the truth and putting lies on display.
Oh believers we will have our day,
the tears of yesterday will become our smiles for today.
Put your faith on display like the moon and the stars at night,
Be patient for the promise of Allah is surely coming our way.

(A poem by Anonymous Aliza that sums it up beautifully... Jazakallahu Khair for everything May Allah reward you in this world and the hereafter. Allahumma Ameen.)

Once upon a promise...

You are torn.
You are lost.
You almost feel forsaken.
The hope you had seems to have been taken.
You are in this whirl of emotions
where everything you do just becomes a huge commotion.
The person you gave your heart to was nothing more than another complication.
You gave your trust to something  that wasn't worthy,
you thought what you were doing was for the best,
but little did you know it was all part of a huge test.
A test to prove that you were severely mistaken.
What was once upon a promise may have left you broken.
It may have put you in a situation,
but giving up is never an option.
Turn to Allah and immediately you are heading towards the right direction.
You are struggling with the pain,
but it is He who can only take it away.
I promise He will never leave you in this way.
They say they care
they say they would be there,
but it is only Allah that shall ALWAYS be there.
They played with your emotions
left you at your lowest,
but you don't need them
for you have Allah the Almighty.
Allah the greatest.
Put your feelings aside,
put your memories behind.
Move on,
for Allah shall always be at your side.

Dependent

Recently my life has been all over the place and I feel as if I'm putting that lightly. Everything seems to be falling apart one by one, there are nights when I cry myself to sleep just thinking about it. I was at a point where I just felt torn between what was truly right and what was wrong. I would speak to people about how I would be feeling, about what I was going through, but no one would really understand. Maybe I'm not too good at explaining. Or maybe telling people my problems isn't the right thing to do. It's not going to make it easier, sometimes it just adds to it. I just don't know,
We as humans are weak, more weaker than we actually think. We find ourselves  dependent on worldly needs. Whether it may be a person, an object or even a habit. There are times in our lives when we start to feel lost or confused without them. We start to forget that things in this world are temporary. Nothing stays in your life forever, the sooner we digest that, the easier life will be. Let's use a contemporary example: our phones. Some people actually live around their phone, without their phone they almost feel lost, it's almost like a lifeline. The moment it goes missing or it stops working, your life flashes before your eyes. It's sad when you think about it. It's an object, an object that holds no value. It's worth nothing so why should it mean anything?
But I guess it's different when talking about people. We find ourselves constantly wanting to talk to people about problems, sometimes even hoping they can take it away. But what makes them any different? They are just another person like you trying to go through life and their problems. So why should there be a need to annoy them with your own? Of course there are those who are always happy to listen and willing to help, but there is always a limit to everything. One day that person will start to have enough, one day that person won't be bothered any more and sooner or later you will start to sense it. But that's okay. Take that as a learning curve because trust me the only thing that will never get tired, frustrated on annoyed is ALLAH. Wallahi never ever, but we tend to forget this. With Allah you don't always need to use words or expressions, because Allah already knows. HE knows when your at your weakest, He knows when your at your best. He knows what's behind every tear. He knows what's behind every smile. But do we always acknowledge this? No we don't, we really don't. Allah is always there. Whilst people come and go for once has He ever left? NOO. NEVER. Why should we be dependent on something else when the only thing we should be dependent is the One that created us. Allah cares like no one could ever care. Not like your mother, not like your husband or what not. LIKE NO ONE.
There are times where I feel distant from Allah, where I feel as if I've lost the connection. maybe it's my sins coming to haunt me. Something I know I need to work on. But the one thing I know for sure is I know how to set my priorities straight.
For Allah said:
"So remember me; I will remember you and be grateful to  me and do not deny me"
(2;152)
Without Allah we are nothing, we would have been nothing. Without being able to fully depend on Allah is is a major flaw. A flaw that we all need to overcome, starting with me. We may lose all we have, we may lose the people we love. But as long as we have Allah, we have everything we need.

(O Allah! There are times when all I want to do is cry. There are times when I feel so weak. There are times when I feel so lost. I am a slave that needs guidance. Guide me to what you think is best. For verily it is only you who can put my heart at ease. Allahumma ameen.)

"Planned it all out"

There are certain days in my life where I like to spend my time just wondering and wondering some more. Where I would normally take the bus I would walk and those times of walking I would take the longer route, just so I could have that extra minute or so to clear my mind. Lately I've been doing that a lot (whether it's beneficial or not is debatable.) It's the same thoughts over and over again. Sometimes I try to block it out with plugging in my headphones and allowing the soothing voice of Omar Hisham Al-Arabi to mute it, but I guess sometimes your brain just needs to let it all out.
As humans we have this thing about us that likes to know what we're doing. We like to have this plan, we like to follow things in a certain order.. Well some of us do anyway. This idea of "this is how it should be done and this is how I will do it." We often think that we are in control, we are the hands controlling the steering wheel.. no one else. But on that one occasion it slips out of our hands, hell breaks loose. We often don't prepare ourselves for the "If's" and the "But's" we go straight into something with out thinking of the consequences. Regrets only begin when it never worked out or it didn't go the way we planned it. But at that time it's too late. You can't pick up spilled milk now can you?
This is what has me thinking soo much. Lately I've been asked about my future a great deal. People ask me as if I know what's going to happen, they ask me as if I have it all planned out.. if only they knew. Everyone has dreams, everyone has hopes and I'm not any different, but whether I will reach or achieve them is a whole different story. A story that no one knows the plot and twists to, apart from the All-Knowing. But one thing I do know is that it ends with me being returned to my Lord. That could be today or it could be tomorrow... I DO NOT KNOW. (I just pray that when that day comes Allah takes our life whilst in good). We plan and plan like we know what's going to happen. What if that career you want to go into becomes nothing more than a distraction from your Lord? What if that person you want to marry is nothing more than a disaster? What if all that money you want to make is nothing more than a Fitnah? We say we want this and we want that, but what we want is not always good for us and what we don't want could be what's best for us, Allah knows best. If only more people understood that.
We as individuals all want our lives to look a specific way and if it is good for us in this world and also in the next I  pray that Allah makes it easy for us. But those times when Allah takes things away from us I just Pray that Allah gives us the strength to understand that that's what's best for us. Something that we often forget is that Allah doesn't do things without reason. He may take something to replace it with something better. He may test us to bring us closer to Him. But whatever happens is for the best; nothing more or nothing less.
To those people who think MM has it planned it out... please think again. I pray for certain things to happen but whether it will happen is something that is not in my hands. Please try to understand that.

Oh Allah! I pray You remind me that Your plans for me are better than  what I dream them to be.
Ameen.

Forgive and forget.

They say forgive and forget
but you say its only easy when said.
how can I forgive someones who's done so much wrong.
Who's made me look a fool
whilst everyone else was right all along.
Stop for a second, just stop right there.
You know more than me that's just not fair.
We all make mistakes, some more harder to bear.
Forgiveness isn't easy,
I say that without any difficulty.
But ask yourself what has you restricted.
Is it the fear of being weak?
Or is it your arrogance that has you conflicted?
Put those thoughts to a side,
for then mercy is what you shall obtain.
Do not let this hatred become a burden
for it could be you in that situation.
Our religion teaches love and compassion
and not rage or acts of resentment.
Our Lord forgives every second of every single day,
trust me forgiveness is the only way.
Leave the past behind
and focus on the present.
They say the first to forgive is the strongest,
and the first to forget is the happiest.
To forgive and forget could leave you distressed,
but show them that's what you do best,
and its nothing more than just a simple test.
Do your bit and I promise you Allah will do the rest.

The thought of giving up...

Don't know how to put this to words. I don't even know how the thought even crossed my mind, but I guess when your frustrated you'll take it out anything..  Anyways here it goes..

There are times in your life where everything and everyone just seem to upset or frustrate you; I guess a phase that everyone goes through. The smallest thing would upset me, the smallest thing would annoy me and this time I took it out on my blog. I had come to the conclusion that getting rid of it was the only way. I've been so reluctant to even upload this one. To some people it might come as a surprise, but honestly speaking it really shouldn't. I guess all writers go through a "rough patch." But that wasn't my reason. I just got fed up with myself. I guess I was slowly losing my confidence. My friends, my loved ones and even strangers would tell me how amazing my work was and I was just stressing over nothing. I appreciate their support but what's the point of posts being published if the author isn't satisfied with what's she's posting? Their comments would go through one ear and come out the other. I would spend hours crossing out, deleting or even ripping to shreds pieces of work. Right now if I scroll down my post lists there are so many draft posts, some finished, some unfinished. For me they are just not good enough. I would read through my blog and all I would want to do is delete it, act as if "Muffled Muslimah" never existed, make it something of the past.
At the time I thought I would feel better, I thought it was a way to remove my grief, but I guess I was being stupid and that's only putting it lightly. Writing is how I express myself, writing is what makes me feel free, writing is what makes me, ME. In that split second of frustration I had forgotten what writing had given me. Writing had given me the voice I thought I never had. Writing gave me the power to express myself without caring about what people thought. Just that feeling of being able to let everything out is just sometimes all I needed. If I stop writing, oppressed is what I shall become. Without writing I wouldn't be the person I am and Alhamdulilliah I'm grateful for that. So what if I'm not good at? So what if I'm not always satisfied with it? That person was right when they said I should reevaluate. I didn't start this blog for satisfaction or for the fame. I started this blog because I was fed up remaining quiet, I was fed up of just being a bystander. Whether people listen or ignore what I have to say does not bother me, at least I know I tried. "Muffled Muslimah" is part of me and it's just not something I can remove with a delete button, I know that now because the thought of it had me in tears. I'm a writer, writing is what I do and what I love. Whatever I do or say can NEVER change that.

(To those that stood by me when I was being that pessimistic cow, I don't know how to thank you. I just pray that Allah blesses you and rewards you with the best of Jannah Inshallah ❤ )

Smile your pains away..

A smile.
Something so simple,
but something so big.
Something so natural,
but something so pretend.
Something that hides so much,
but that reveals so little.
Smile because you can
and not because you need to.
I know your hurting,
I know I can't take that pain away.
But smile, so for once you can feel okay.
Smile because your problems aren't forever,
smile because Allah won't leave you in vain.
Smile to scare those unnecessary tears away.
Smile because there will be a day when this pain becomes history,
nothing more than just part of your memory.
Allah won't burden you with something you can't take,
trust me that isn't a mistake.
Broken is what you may have become,
but I promise you happiness is what is to come.
Patience, that's all it needs
and with trust in Allah you will be freed.
But for now smile you pain away.
Don't let it take the best of you,
because life to short for you to be worrying.
No body promised you tomorrow or the day after,
so be in the moment and spend it with smiles
and fill it with laughter.

To all my Brothers and Sisters and out there, keep on smiling no matter the weather :)

Ummi. Mama. Mummy..

For the past couple of days I've been watching my mother look after my 1 month baby cousin. Till this day I do not know how to put to words what I experienced. The baby that was in my mothers care belonged to her sister, it wasn't even hers. But the love and care she gave that baby you could not even tell. I would watch my mother wake up every 30 minutes to the baby crying and shouting. Not once did she mutter words of irritation, it would always be that same beautiful smile. It would be 4 AM in the morning, but that seems to slip her mind when that baby is cuddled up in her arms. It was as if she had this sixth sense. She would know when it's hungry, when it needs changing or when it needs to sleep. She told him stories, she sang to him, she put her life on hold  JUST FOR HIM. If this is how she was with her nephew I can't even begin to imagine how she must have been with me. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
The guilt that I feel is something I find so hard to explain. It just makes me think about the times I have wronged her, the times I have made her upset. This is a woman that has given everything so that I could have everything. What gave us the right to lose patience with our mothers when they wouldn't once, even if our crying would drive them to the roof. What gave us the right to mutter words of annoyance when all they would mutter would be words of affection. What gave us the right to speak so harshly to them when in fact it was them who taught us to speak. The love our mothers have for us is something we as children will never understand. They were there when we took our first step, they were there when we would wake up crying because we had a bad dream. They where there when we came home from a bad day and all we needed was a hug. Our mothers were there through the good times and through the bad, but sometimes we just seem to forget this. But they don't, not even once.
A man came to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, who is most deserving of my kind treatment?” He replied:
“Your mother.”
The man asked: “Then who?” He replied:
“Your mother.”
The man asked again: “Then who?” He replied:
“Your mother.”
The man asked again: “Then who?” He replied:
“Your father.” (sahih Muslim)
Never have I ever been able to understand a Hadith the way that I was able to understand this one. Our mothers are living keys to Jannah for paradise lies under their feet, but why do we ignore this? We find it so easy to neglect them, to not pay attention to them, to not even notice them. For some of us we come home from our long days, we do not even have the dignity to ask how her day went. For all you know she may have spent her day really worried about your whereabouts, but to us its just unnecessary stress. We are so consumed with growing up and it's hassles we often forget that our mothers are also growing. No one lives forever. One day you may just come home to an empty chair and that's it. Never will we experience that warm homely hug, never will we see that beautiful smile, never will we hear that contagious laugh. Never will inhale that loving scent. THAT IS IT! That is when the regrets start to transpire, that's when we start to rethink our actions, that is when we actually notice our mothers.
If your mother is still alive and healthy do not allow her death to be the day that you actually grant her your attention. Mothers are irreplaceable, once they are gone, they are gone. Please do not wait for her death for that to sink in. Arguments happen, misunderstandings take place, it's normal. Just do not make this an excuse for your to distance or even abandon your mother. For those of you who think they do not understand, trust me they do. I have experienced this first hand. Whatever it is, just let it all out. Remember your mother loves you and whatever it is, her love for you will never change, not even an inch. Yes all mother are different, but it's all about communication and understanding one another. Try it, trust me you will never regret it.
Our mothers where the door to this Dunya and can be the door to Jannah, let's not forget this No matter how many times we apologise, no matter how much time we spend with our mother, no matter how many times we tell them we love them,  never can we pay them back, not even for a second.
I pray that Allah grants us the guidance to understand the true status of our mothers and give us the ability to serve them with all our might whilst we are alive. May Allah reward  their efforts with the best of Jannah.
اللهم أمين

(Mama, if you are reading this I do not know how I could put to words how sorry I am. Sorry for the times I have wronged you. Sorry for the times I've upset you. Sorry for the time I have driven you crazy. I'm  just sorry. I love you.❤ )

Our Lost Baby

On Friday 31st July a Palestinian baby was murdered by Zionists. We don't want "revenge."We want justice. We want peace. Our Palestinian Brothers and Sisters have endured enough. Oh Allah grant them ease from these pains. اللهم أمين

A loud war takes place,
but we seem to have left it muted.
We're not involved
so it's okay for us to watch our ummah being tormented?
Children are dying.
Mothers are crying.
Fathers are barely surviving.
But, still we sit here and pretend its all imaginary.
Bombs drop like rain,
bullets constantly fired.
The hospitals are packed,
the stench of death encompasses the surroundings.
Not so long ago a coffin was carried,
a body so small but a heart so heavy.
An innocent soul was burned with as little as no sympathy,
a family was torn and left with nothing more than just memories.
Enough is enough.
Isn't that clear already?
Or shall the bloodshed continue until there is nothing left. not even a body.
The people are worn, exhausted is what they have become.
killing unnecessarily is something that shouldn't be done.
To my suffering Brothers and Sisters,
we can never truly feel your pain,
but never give up for Allah will never leave you strained.
Do not fear for justice will be attained.
You will forever not be the victim,
for there shall be a day where it is them that endure the pain.
You are strong, you are brave and you are forever great
and do not let even a bullet change that in any way.
Now and always shall we be at your side.
Oh Allah! Grant them peace
and grant them a place in your gardens of paradise.

Beauty isn't makeup...

Makeup is like a drug. Once you start, it becomes impossible to stop. You don't feel satisfied with what you see in the mirror. It's like every time you look in the mirror all you see is your faults and flaws. People think you wear makeup to impress others or to make yourself stand out, but between yourself you know that's just not true. You can't stand your natural look, makeup makes you feel more better about yourself. Makeup makes you feel more confident. MAKEUP MAKES YOU.
But we both know that makeup is nothing more than a mask. You can't escape your flaws. No matter how much product you use to conceal that dark spot or whatever it is your concealing. It's still going to be there. It's not magically going to disappear. Your flaws are what makes you the person you are. No matter how hard you try, you can never change that. You can imitate others, but you can NEVER be them. Those that you claim to be "perfect" are obviously not perfect if they spend most of their money in correcting and adjusting their body features. No one in this world was created perfect and no one shall be perfect. I guess it's time that we accepted that. It's time we accepted ourselves for who we really are.
But let's get this straight. If you are using makeup in order to beautify yourself for your husband or you are in a place with only your mahrams or females present then you are not causing fitnah and there shouldn't be a problem. Makeup is not Haram. But once you start wearing makeup outside that's when the fitnah begins. Men are told to lower their gaze and we as females should not make it difficult for them. Beautifying ourselves in public goes against what Hijab really stands for. We may wear our Hijab and Abayah to prevent fitnah, but what use is it if our faces are like artwork? We all know makeup enhances our features and this is something we should try to refrain from when out in public. For the Quran says:
"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women...and turn to Allah all of you, O believers! so that you may be successful." Qur'an 24:31
Stopping the usage of makeup is no easy task. It takes courage and and belief in yourself. I know this because I've experienced it first hand. People would always just tell me to stop, for them it wasn't such of an issue but for me makeup was everything. It would make me frustrated. I would get angry because no one seemed to understand. But one person changed me. They made made me realise that it was only me that could put an end to this. They made me understand what I was doing was not only going against my religion but it was also affecting me as an individual. They made me realise that Allah created me the way that I am, if I wasn't perfect in the eyes of the people I was perfect in the eyes of the Creator. What could be greater? That person understood I was too into makeup for me to stop it completely so they suggested that I stopped one product at a time. Alhamdulilliah one by one I eventually got to the point where I was left with nothing more than just mascara. It was hard, I'm not going to sugarcoat that, but if you honestly want to stop for the sake of your Lord and for yourself, try it. Make the intention that you are doing this for yourself and only for yourself and I promise you with the help of Allah you'll get through.
Makeup is like a mask, a mask which only you can remove. Those flaws that you hide are what makes you and do not deny that. You are beautiful the way you are, but you will only believe that once you remove that mask you so dearly cling to. We become so obsessed in beautifying ourselves on the outside, when in reality it should be the other way round. Makeup does not define who you are, but rather what defines you is that person inside you, that person you conceal with products, products that rob your TRUE and inner beauty.

Inner beauty needs no makeup...  something for a of us to think about. May Allah Protect us
اللهم أمين

The candle light

Candles have been in existence from the Roman era. A simple object that provides so much. One small candle has the power to illuminate a whole room. You may be thinking why is she going on about a candle.. well let me tell you. This candle represents so many of us today but we do not seem to realise it. Whilst this candle may be doing so much i.e. providing light or scent or whatever it is, the candle itself is slowly dying. Each second that candle illuminates, the more it melts and before you know it that candle is no more. So how does this analogy describe us? Think of yourself  as being that candle.. and think of the illuminating flame being your knowledge; knowledge you love so much to share with everyone else. You love to benefit and better others, but what about yourself? Whilst this candle is so consumed in illuminating it's surroundings the thought that its slowly dying seems to has escaped it's mind. The same thing with us. Whilst we are too busy advising and warning others we seem to forget about ourselves. We forget to apply that knowledge to OURSELVES. You may be going around and increasing the Imaan levels of your fellow brothers and sisters but when was the last time you sat down and judged your own? There is great reward in advising someone and an even greater reward if that person puts that advise into practice. But what use is it to you if you don't follow it yourself? When thinking about it, it just does not make sense. In the example of a fire, it's as if you help everyone else out but you decide to stay in whilst fully aware of it's consequences.
As reported by Usaamah ibn Zayd our Prophet (SAW) said:
"A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the (Hell) Fire, so that his intestines will come out, and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone. The people of (Hell) Fire will gather around him and say: O so-and-so! What is wrong with you? Didn't you use to order us to do good deeds and forbid us to do bad deeds? He will reply: Yes, I used to order you to do good deeds, but I did not do them myself, and I used to forbid you to do bad deeds, yet I used to do them myself." (Bukhari)
Correcting other's mistakes and advising people is not a flaw, but we should start amending our mistakes and shortcomings before anyone else. On the day of judgement we will be held accountable on our own actions not anyone else's. We do not want to be labelled a hypocrite. May Allah protect us. This should be a reminder for us all. It's easy advising others but for once let's just pause and look at ourselves.

"Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do" (61:3)
Oh Allah! Do not make us amongst those hateful people. Purify our intentions and allow us to do what is good. اللهم امين يارب العالمين

(Jazakallahu khair to that Sheikh who left me pondering.. May Allah increase you. Ameen)

Acceptance

Before I start I would like to wish you all a blessed Ramadan and I pray that Allah accepts your Ibaadah in this holy month Inshallah.
This is not a normal post, I don't even know what to call it.It's them days when all you want to do is just let it all out. When the smallest thing irritates you. When the smallest thing has you in tears. When the smallest thing tears you up inside. A day everyone goes through I guess. Not everyday can be a smiley day, that's not how we work. You may go around with a smile plastered on your face but deep down your slowly dying. When asked the matter all you can manage is a "I'm fine." Sometimes it's just best if you kept it to yourself, no one can completely understand you apart from the One and Only.
Days like this are a struggle, a struggle where sometimes you feel like you can't bear. All you want to do is hide and never come out. People just seem to make everything worse. That's when I should stop and look at myself; like really look at myself. What am I doing with my life? Why do I feel like this? There is only one answer. I've lost the connection with the One and Only, the One that really cares. The One that really understands what I'm going through, THE ONE THAT IS ALWAYS THERE. It's sad, it's so sad. We base our life around the temporary things in this life and when they are gone we feel like we've lost everything. That would have never been the case if we hadn't attached ourselves in the first place. If we had connected ourselves wholeheartedly with our lord the illusions of this word would have meant nothing to us.The word loneliness would have not existed. The love for your Creator would have overpowered those feelings.
It's time that I stopped worrying about whats going to happen but rather started worrying about what I should be doing. Yes you go through tough times but the question is how do you get up? How do you regain that connection. Without returning to my Lord misery is all I'm going to experience. No one can change how I'm feeling apart from myself, No one can fix my flaws apart from myself. I need to turn back, back to my creator to which I should give my undivided attention. I need to turn back to my Lord. Without Allah me and you are useless, we are nothing.
Allah is the only Person that truly understands. Without even putting it to words Allah already knows. But it's just up to me to turn back and acknowledge that. I don't need to shout my problems to the people, it's just not necessary. The One and Only already knows. He is the only one that can really help; just through the simple act of prayer. Just that small supplication or 2 rak'at can make such a huge difference. I need to understand that Allah may not answer my supplications straight away, but there's always a reason for that. Maybe I want something which is bad for me and I do not want something which is good for me. We as humans plan and plan as if we can predict the future. Maybe sitting back and letting it all flow is the what's best. Allah is the best of planners. He knows what's best for me, it's time that I accepted that and allow it all to happen with good time. Feeling depressed or stressed about it is going to get me no where. It's time that I focused on myself for once, it's time that I changed myself for the better. No one is perfect but there is no harm in trying to perfect yourself for my Lord. The One that truly cares. The One that truly understands my pain.

Oh Allah! Grant us the strength to overcome our difficulties and allow us to regain that connection with You and You only. اللهم امين يارب العالمين

"OPPRESSED???"

You say we are oppressed
and we have no sense of dress.
We don't dress to impress.
Our Niqab and Hijab makes us feel depressed.

What if I was to tell you,
you are creating unnecessary stress.

Women in your eyes should walk around flaunting
what they have.
Revealing every asset and making every head
look back,
And then you call us oppressed???
Without a women being revealing beauty is not what you see,
but rather a person who seems to have no mentality.

Women are not products of merchandise,
but rather a jewel that should be protected.
Jeans, heels and lipstick is what gains your respect.
Your Women are fake,
materialistic is what you have invented.
Self dignity is what you have corrupted.
In Islam a Women's assets are for the ones that care
not the for the ones that just sit there and stare,
Her Hijab is her pride and joy,
nothing you say can make that go away.
Her modesty is what defines her identity,
not the values and degradation of your society,
Do not point fingers at the ones that don't need your appreciation,
because deep down they know their beauty is beyond any condemnation.

Our Women are not oppressed,
don't make unnecessary assumptions.
The freedom from your stares is what provides a Muslimah with great satisfaction.
So the next time you say our women are oppressed
and depressed...
Look around your street corners,
then tell us who really is OPPRESSED!!!

(It had to be said... Alhamdulillah we are part of a religion where Haya is key, if only everyone understood this. May Allah guide the misguided as well as us اللهم امين)

Judging, Judging and Judging

I find it really concerning how we as humans find it so much easier to point out the flaws of an individual rather than what's truly amazing about them. We seem to have given ourselves the right to look a person up and down and start assuming. Before a word even comes out of a persons mouth we already have a image in our heads; an image purely based on assumptions. We all see materialism as something we should not base our lives round. But why is it that the first thing we judge a person by is their materialistic appearance? If we were to see a man with shaggy hair, ripped clothes, a shoe missing we immediately assume him to be someone you wouldn't want to associate yourself with. This man is immediately below you. You see yourself as better. But if we were to see a man dressed in a designer suit coming out of a Mercedes we would think of him as a man of class, a man of status. What have we come to? What happened to judging a person from the inside, judging them on their character, their manners. That homeless man who struggles to even afford a piece of bread may have the best of hearts, whilst that man with the wealth and power may have a stone for a heart. But this seems to slip our minds when meeting people.

Judging starts of with false assumptions and most of the time we let it get the best of us. Judging people seems to have a become a norm in our society. We know it's wrong, so why do we still do it? I want to address an issue in our Ummah with regards to judging. Again its based on their appearance. If we were to see a man in a short Thobe and a beard and a woman covered from top to bottom they are labelled as being pious. They are seen as the ideal Muslim, a Muslim who spends their whole day praying and doing Adkhar. Maybe even a Hafidh. Now thinking about it, How are we able to assume soo much? We don't know what their true intentions are, we don't know if they are being sincere or whether it's for show. May Allah purify our intentions and make us sincere. Allahumma Ameen.

My Niqabi and Hijabi sisters we shouldn't look down on sisters that don't cover.. They may not dress appropriately, they may not cover, but we are not aware of their inside. Their Imaan levels maybe be soaring whilst we are struggling to increase ours. If Allah has guided you and provided you with the knowledge you shouldn't use it as an excuse to see yourself as being superior in any way. Instead of thinking of wrongly of that person it would be in your best interest as well of that sister to advise her. Maybe that sister you look down upon may have no knowledge about the Hijab. Even if you are not able to approach the sister at least keep her in your Ad'iyah.
My brothers in Islam this is not only an issue of the sisters, but also with you men as well. If a guy was to come into the Masjid with tattoos all over and covered with piercings, you do not have the right to chase him out whilst whispering "Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah ". That's not the way to do it. That is not the way of sharing the beauty of our Deen. Alhamdulillah we are part of a religion that teaches to love all. If we are chasing out the misguided, how are we able to unite our Ummah?
To those of my Brothers and Sisters that Allah has blessed with knowledge, we should use it to help those that need it, we should use it to bring our Ummah together. We shouldn't look down on the misguided with pride and arrogance but rather use our knowledge to guide them and bring them back to the straight path.

Judging people does not benefit us, neither does it benefit the people around us. No one and I mean NO ONE is perfect. Each and everyone of us has flaws; some more apparent than others.Everyone is different in their own way, everyone is SPECIAL in their own way. Allah created us to be unique, Allah created us this way. We are the way we are because this is what Allah has planned for us. Who are we to criticise this? Who are we to question this? Just remember the next time your about to judge a person, they are human. A human with flaws, a human who makes mistakes, a human just like YOU. If the Almighty is judging us on our sincerity, on our intentions and our actions who we are to judge a person on assumptions? You don't like to be judged do so don't judge others.

Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Saheeh Muslim)

I want to end of by saying that this is a reminder first of all to myself and then to my Brothers and Sisters. May Allah keep us sincere and may He allow us not to think wrongly of people.
اللهم امين

The Illusion...

Once you start making the dough
all you want, is it to see it flow.
A studio flat is no longer ideal,
The mansion with a flat screen is the one and only dream.
The Merc outside is what everybody seems to need.
STOP for a sec,
Just spare one second from your "perfect life" to see what really is the reality.
You roam around with your Merc for everyone to view
whilst others starve and have nothing to do.
You have your refrigerators stocked
and your packed cupboards locked.
But for others just a piece of bread could make their day.
You fall ill
free healthcare is what you receive,
but still you complain that private is what you need.
For some just seeing a doctor could prove to be a huge difficulty.
You switch from designer to designer,
whilst a father can hardly clothe a child.
But still they do not complain,
they thank Him every night and every day
and when they pray,
its not that they become prosperous the next day
but so that Allah can show them the light of another day.

Why is it that whist given so much
you appreciate so little.
But only value blessings when they have become belittled.
You live as if you been promised a forever eternity,
whilst your life is nothing but just temporary.
Your status and your reputation with the people
will have no value
once that DIRT goes over you.
Your aim is pleasing the creation when you should be pleasing
THE CREATOR.
You have become blinded by the bright lights.
The facade has blurred your sight.
This illusion has you deluded.
Death seems to be excluded.
When will the concern for your Imaan be included.

Nobody is perfect
everyone has their flaw,
but just remember you are not the slave of the people
but a slave of Allah.
The only One who knows your true value.
This Dunya and its illusion wasn't designed for you,
step back and put your priorities straight.
Are you going to fall for the facade
or turn back to count your days.
Repentance is truly the only way.
Ya Allah we've fallen into the trap
we ask for forgiveness
so that you can put us back.
Back so that we please You
and only You.

Oh Allah! You have created us weak, but do not allow us to become trapped. Trapped by the illusions of this Dunya. اللهم امين

"Just Numbers"

Yemen = 1,000+
Nepal = 5,000+
Iraq = 156,000+
Palestine = 200,000+
Syria = 215,000+

It's funny how those figures are only numbers to us; just big numbers. Those "numbers" are made up of peoples Mother's, Father's, Husband's, Wive's, PEOPLE'S CHILDREN. But that doesn't seem to bother us. We may feel sorry for them once in a while or even pity them for a bit, but that's about it. We have this way of living where nothing seems to affect us. Everyone seems to be overwhelmed with their own problems. But if we were asked to compare our problems with those hanging on to their lives I promise you, we would feel ashamed.
We create problems out of everything. Let me give you an example. Today out of all days your internet connection seems to have broken down, the next thing you know, your shouting through the phone at the poor guy on the other side whilst he is calmly telling you just to plug the wire in.
My Brothers and Sisters a person is dying every 3 seconds, right now as you are reading this a child is severely ill, a mother is crying whilst a father is severely wounded. Every night we return home to our comfortable beds with food in our stomachs, whilst our brothers and sisters starve to death. Are these people still "figures" in your eyes? Just a number on a screen? My Ummah what have we come to?
Their life is equally as important as your life. We are from a religion where our Prophet (SAW) said "An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety" (Musnad Ahmad). Why is it that we still discriminate against each other? That person suffering in Nepal may not be a Muslim, they may not be from similar backgrounds but are they not human? What makes them any different? A person in need is a person in need no matter where they from. Why can we not just accept that?
Sometimes we need to put our problems to a side and see the bigger picture. We need to start facing the reality. Me and you both know this world is not a peaceful place. People lose their lives because the Elite seem to have lost the capability of just using words. They have forgotten the act of being CIVIL towards one another. They think the use of violence is the solution to everything, whilst in actual fact all they are doing is destroying human lives.
These people silently suffer, nothing is what they have left. Whilst we on the other hand, take so many things for granted. Instead of looking down on these people we should be standing up for them. We should be their voice. We should be helping them rather than ignoring them. We should be praying for them rather than turning our backs on them. That mother who is crying could be our mother, that child who is dying could be our child. We need to be aware of this.
We as individuals may not be able to bring about change alone. But we as a whole can. If we put aside our difference and bring forward our similarities, a lot can be changed. At the end of the day, you are human. I am human. WE ARE ALL HUMAN! Once we learn to accept that, we will truly understand the concept of respecting each other. The concept of standing up for each other. The concept of being UNITED as one. The concept of being able to help one another.

Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said "Whoever helps his brother in his time of need, Allah will be there in his time of need." (Saheeh Muslim)

To those who are suffering in Nepal, Syria, Iraq and many other countries in the world are hearts and prayers are with you.

O Allah! Give ease to those who are suffering and reward them with something far greater and unite this Ummah for the greater good. اللهم امين

You are never ALONE...

I guess we as humans experience phases in our lives where we feel that we have hit rock bottom, everything seems to be falling apart; one by one. The people you once called your friends are people you would never want to associate yourself with. You start to lose people that you thought had your back. At school/work everything has become a struggle, nothing is going right. Life is not how you planned it and all you want to do is be alone. Shutting yourself out from the world seems what's best. You obviously do not want people asking what is wrong. Just thinking about it brings tears to your eyes imagine talking about it. You start to lose hope. You feel lonely. You feel no one can understand you. That is when the questions begin..
"Why is my life so messed up?" "Why can't I experience happiness?" "why am I alone?" and most importantly "what am I going to do?"
You contemplate these questions over and over again but there is always the same outcome. You just seem to be stuck in this constant whirl of emotions and you do not see yourself getting anywhere. Not having the answers begins to lead to gradual break down.
What if I was to tell you there are answers to your questions. When you felt stuck, when you felt  no one could understand your situation, when no one sensed your pain, ALLAH WAS THERE. When you couldn't see a way forward, He could. When you didn't see your own worth, He did. when you couldn't figure out your way to happiness, He could show you.
You were never alone, you can NEVER EVER be alone. Allah is and will always be there. I say this without any doubt. Who can understand you better than the One that created you?
He was there when that person turned their back on you, He was there when you lost that loved one, He was there when you were at breaking point. All you need to do is remember that.
ASK ALLAH I promise you, He listens. Ask Allah sincerely, open yourself to Him.
When you make that same D'ua over and over again, Allah does not stop listening not even for one second. When you are needy with people they often become annoyed and it pushes them away, but when you are needy with Allah you become closer to your Creator. Allah never tires from listening to your pleas for help and forgiveness. Allah is there to answer your calls whether small or big.
Allah wants you to be specific in your D'ua. We were advised by our Prophet (SAW) to ask Allah for exactly what you want and not to be vague with your pleas. It was said by our Prophet (SAW) "D'ua is the essence of worship" (At-Tirmidhi)
Another important thing we need to come to terms with is after all we are human. Humans have major limitations. There are certain events and issues we as humans cannot prevent. We cannot control what happens to us. Allah does. We as humans are not able to comprehend His wisdom behind whatever it is that happens to us. We need to accept that Allah has already planned out our journey on this Dunya, yes at times there may be events that test you beyond any limits. But remember this is a way of bringing you back to your Master. There is no greater love in existence than the love Allah has for his creations. Allah knows what's best for you.
Allah states in the Qu'ran "Do not be afraid; I am with you, all-hearing and all-seeing." (Qu'ran 20:46)

Just know whatever it is that you feel right now, there is a solution. Allah is ALWAYS there. Through the thick and the thin, through joy and through pain. Just remember the one that created you knows you best. Start with a simple supplication and I promise you Allah will put light in your heart and provide you with help in places you never expected. Have Tawaqal in Allah and NEVER become disconnected from your Master.

I pray that whatever difficulty that it is that you are facing, Allah provides you with a solution and may he remove all pain. اللهم امين

Who you really pleasing?

Its funny how we complain so much whilst we have sooo much. But the ones that don't have much don't complain as much. Probably everyone reading this has their fridges and cupboards stocked; enough food to feed a whole village. But if just milk runs out we act as if nothing else is there.

We've become so involved in this materialistic world, it is as if everyone has become indoctrinated. It's all about who has the best shoes, the latest phone or the biggest house. We spend money on things that we don't even need. Let me ask you a question, when you go out and i.e. buy the latest phone, keeping in mind there is nothing wrong with your previous phone. Are you buying that phone because you really need it or is it just another way to compete with others? To prove you can do better than them?

We compete for worldly needs when we should be competing for the Akhirah. In the times of the Sahabah (RA) Umar (RA) and Abu Bakr (RA) would constantly compete in ways of pleasing Allah. An example of this would be the the incident with the blind old lady. This was a women who did not get much help, so Umar (RA) would go in disguise to tend to any of her needs. But whenever he went he would find that someone else had beaten him to it. This happened on numerous occasions. Umar (RA) started to become curious. On one occasion he decided to come earlier than usual and hid whilst waiting upon this person. He did not have to wait long as there came none other than Abu Bakr (RA).

Another incident is with regards to charity. As reported in Sahih of Al Bukhari, Umar (RA) said:
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) commanded us to give in charity, and this coincided with my possessing some wealth. So I said (to myself): ‘If there is a day that I can better Abu Bakr (RA) then it is this one.’ So I went with half of my wealth and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) asked me, ‘What have you left for your family?’ I replied, ‘The same amount.’ Then Abu Bakr (SAW) came with everything that he possessed and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) asked him, ‘What have you left for your family?’ He replied, ‘I have left Allah and His Messenger for them.’ So I (Umar) said, ‘I will never be able to better you in anything!’

These people were the best of all people. These are the people we should be looking up to. These are the people we should aspire to be. Not those who have become blinded by the temporary bright lights of this Dunya and have become addicted to material consumption.
\Its seems to have become the norm for everyone to only be about themselves. There's only "Me, Myself and I." When was the last time we stopped for a homeless person, maybe even brought them food? When was the last time we helped out the elderly? Yes you may give charity here and then, it does not mean charity is only limited to your wealth. Just a smile could be counted as charity. But we've seem as we have forgotten this.

My Ummah this is a major flaw that we need to change. In the eyes of Allah we are equal. Allah does not judge us on how big our house is or how much our shoes cost. Allah judges us on our actions, on our intentions, on our sincerity. If this is how we are judged by The Almighty, then why is it that we live in a way of only wanting the praise of the people? In the way of only wanting the fame of this Dunya?

My dear Brothers and Sisters, you and me are both aware that everything we have is temporary. We leave this world the same way we came in it. WE LEAVE WITH NOTHING! Let us invest our wealth, our time, our energy only in the ways of pleasing our Lord and not the people.

The Prophet (SAW) said: "Whoever sought the pleasure of Allah though it was displeasing to the people then Allah becomes pleased with him, and will make the people please with him, and whoever sought the pleasure of the people though it was displeasing to Allah then Allah becomes displeased with him and will make the people displeased with him." (At-Tirmidhi)

Oh Allah make us of those who only live in this world to only please you, and ONLY YOU. اللهم امين

The Beauty of Tunisia xxx

Temptation

The world is full of temptations, some worse than others. Its soo easy to get tempted.. I just pray that Allah (SWT) gives us the strenghth to remain steadfast and not fall for the fake bright lights of this temporary world. اللهم امين

Temptation, temptation, temptation
something you cannot seem to escape.
A never ending trail that leads to nothing more than regret and cries of help.
Help from what you thought was only a mistake. Stopping just does not seem to be an option,
for the bickering and snickering of the Shaytan just overtakes.
your immediate gratification has become far more important than what really needs your faith.
you have forgotten the existence of Allah, the All-knowing, the Most Great.
My dear Brothers and Sisters we need to come back, back from being lost in utter corruption.
This Dunya is not your home, but just a temporary satisfaction.
If you truly feared Allah and thanked Him for what he gave,
just the thought of the grave would make you think straight.
But is this really the case?
Have you forgotten that the end has to come?
And nothing is what you become?
Material consumption will not be a barrier of the coming of Malakul Maut,
I promise you this is no assumption.
Verily you know our Resurrection lies with that final judgement.
Ya Ummati to Him we belong and to Him is our destination.
So ask yourself today, are you really ready for what is your fate?
Or are you going to look pass this and act as if you are perfect without mistake?
You may not see this upfront, but when the reality hits you,
Do not say I did not warn you.
For verily the greatness of the punishment is beyond any reaction.
Temptation, temptation, temptation.
There is always an escape
Return to your Lord,
Do not hesitate.
Itaqullah Ya Ibadi,
Do not let the Trickster lead you astray.

The expected unexpected....

I want to talk about my Niqab.
Since forever I would look at Niqabi's and envy them for their beauty. I would admire them and always say in my head "Inshallah one day." They have always been an inspiration, even to this day.  Although I wear my Niqab I still look at the others and admire their beauty. But why can't everyone think like that? I'm not saying all women should wear the Niqab. NOOO, this is a free choice, its what you feel comfortable with and at the end of the day most would see it as it being an act of Sunnah so its not Fardh.
But this is not my point. Yes I expected weird looks and constant stares from the non-Muslims, the ones that don't understand and I have to admit, it takes a while getting used to it. Until now I don't know how to react, when a huge man just stares with a dirty look on his face. It's scary. The media has done quite well in making us a target, I just pray that Allah strengthens the Iman of the Niqabi's and that He grants them great Sabr.
But I don't want to talk about the ignorance of the Islamphobists. I want to talk about our Ummah. The part that I least expected. Never did I think there would be certain individuals that would downgrade the sisters who have the courage to do such an act especially in the West. We as a Ummah should know the reason behind a sister choosing to cover. There should only be one reason. This sister has decided to dress in a way of only pleasing Allah. That's it. On so many occasions I've had individuals in our Ummah making remarks or asking unnecessary questions. "Ohh your wearing the Niqab? You don't want to attract unnecessary attention, now do you?" or "you know what the media are saying, you don't want to be considered as a terrorist now do?" This is all coming from Muslim individuals. I'm not saying this is everyone,( Jazakallah Khair to those who have supported me on my decision from the beginning, May Allah reward you) but its not right.
Yes we have become the target of the media, Yes we have been labelled as the enemy, but we need to prove to them that they are wrong. We need to show them the true meaning of being a Muslim. If we are putting our own sisters down, how are we ever going to be united? These sisters need encouraging not downgrading. In order to stand up against the oppression of society especially in the West we need to stick by each other. Just because a sister covers her face and a brother walks around with a long beard and his trousers rolled up does not make them an extremist. It does not automatically make them "religious" or a "so called Sheikh", you and me both know it does not work like that.
Instead of making sly remarks or backbiting about each other we can make D'ua for each other, we can motivate each other. We can help one another. Wallahi competing and envying each other is going to lead to nothing more than utter corruption. If we as a Ummah do not respect and love each other for the sake of Allah, how could we ever expect any different from the non-believers.
At the end of the day we are all Muslim, we all bear witness that Allah is one, Don't put each other down. I know its not easy getting along with everyone. I understand that. But do it for the sake of the Almighty. Show them that we as an Ummah are better than this.
We as Muslims don't seem to have a voice in the world, that's been made very clear. But I promise you if we all look pass our differences and disagreements  WE CAN GIVE ISLAM A VOICE. All it takes is, is becoming united. United for the sake of Islam. United for the sake of Allah.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.
(Al-Imran 3:103)

"FINDING"

It's amazing what you can do with words to show the power of emotions. Coming up with this poem took longer than expected. I guess you can never put to words the feeling of really finding the One and Only. يا الله keep us on the straight path. اللهم امين

There were times in my life where I would wake up asking why?
Why me? Why now? Why ever?
Thinking would lead to more thinking and more thinking.
The problem was, talking was just not for me,
Little did I know, talking was the ONLY way for me.
To whom you may ask?
That is a simple question which entails a simple answer.
I found the one and only,
I found Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim, Al-Malik. Al-Alim.
I did not need to be ashamed or afraid because Allah was always there for me.
Those times where I would feel alone were no longer there,
Because deep down I knew something was there.
There to protect me, to guide me, to love me and most importantly, to FORGIVE ME.
Forgive me my lord for the times I've wronged you,
For the times that I've gone astray.
Forgive me for the small sins, the big sins.
The sins that are beyond compare.
Before I found you, I never used to care
Things did not matter to me
Whatever I did had no purpose.
Finding you has brought change.
Change in how I feel. Change in what I believe.
I no longer feel deceived by what I thought was the reality, for what I knew and what I had did not comply with what I believe.
It lacked the ALMIGHTY, it felt like a conspiracy.
Why me? Why now? Why ever?
The questions I used to wake up with were not forever,
But just a phase of emptiness, which is now filled with something far greater.
O ALLAH! Make me steadfast for verily you are the answers to my prayers.

PROBLEMSSSS....

Its funny how one day you wake up and it seems like everything has come tumbling down whilst just yesterday everything was perfectly in place. Your plans don't seem like plans, your dreams become long gone and all you want to do is hide and never come out. Have we forgotten that everything is temporary, me, you, your parents.
THIS DUNYA IS COMPLETELY TEMPORARY.
So if everything is temporary so are our problems. We as individuals go crazy if just our phone battery is going too die whilst every 3 seconds a human being is dying. We have become so attached to the worldly means, one problem takes over everything. Have we forgotten that it is a test from the Almighty? We are constantly being tested and it depends on our Sabr and Imaan to prove that we can go through this. NO ONE said it was easy, but that does not mean we can not try. Every test that we go through is a way to help us back to Allah, to bring us closer to the only thing that is permanent. It is a chance to check our Imaan levels and strengthen us in our our Deen.
YES its going to be a struggle and you may think there is no way out, but I promise you there always is. All you need to do is trust Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala), ask from the All-Giving, The Most Merciful. Maybe that one D'ua could be the solution to all your problems.
Remember Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) is the All-Hearing and "HE KNOWS WHATS IN EVERY HEART" (al-mulk 67:13). If you D'ua is not answered immediately know that maybe its not good for you at that and Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) knows whats best for you. Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) may remove something from your life just to place something  better and more beneficial, something that will increase your rewards in the eyes of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala).

           وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
(And Allah is the Best of All Planners)
(al-Anfal 8:30)

May Allah grant us solutions to all our problems no matter how small or how big and increase our Imaan for the best.

"Freedom of Speech"

I wrote this poem after the events that took place in Chapel Hill. May Allah grant them the best of Jannah. اللهم امين

You talk about freedom of speech,
but there's a difference between violation and expressing your own view.
you walk around mocking our prophet,
if only you knew.
your words and your remarks have no value
because we don't need you.
The greatness of our Prophet (SAW) is beyond you and me
so no matter what you do,
just know we ain't the same as you.
Islam is perfect, without no flaw.
Muslims ain't terrorists that's something you cannot ignore.
you pick on the minorities thinking your all slick,
but in your minds, you know you are all sick
it is not the Muslims that go around killing innocent lives in places like Iraq, Sudan, Palestine and Finland.
you say you are civilized,
but you disregard human lives.
not only does our Ummah die in civil war,
But now in Chapel Hill they are shot at their front door.
we cant imagine the pain and suffering that family has to go through.
My dear Brothers and Sister are Duas are with you.
You don't need justice in this Dunya
because I promise you in the hands of Allah nothing can hurt you.
My Ummah we need to stand up,
before bad comes to worst (not saying that it hasn't).
But with Taqwah in Allah,
Me and you are not going down
Not now not EVER.

(Muffled Muslimah)

From the start...

السلام عليكم وا رحمة الله وبركاته

This is the Muffled Muslimah. As people the one thing I've realized, is that we know there is so much to say about what is going on in the world, what is going on in the media and what is going on with ourselves as individuals. But for some reason, silence is what we seem to prefer. How long are we going to remain like this and play the role of the bystander? I cannot, not anymore. For too long I've stood around whilst all hell broke loose and ignored what is in front me.
Instead of coming together as one Ummah and focusing on how we can bring change, we seem to be picking on each other. How can we demand for change when we refuse to change ourselves for the better. My Ummah we need to change our attitude towards each other, if we can change this and with Tawaqal in Allah we can change everything else. إن شاء الله

It was said by our beloved Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam)

“The most beloved to me and the closest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those of you who have the best attitudes." (At-Tirmidhi)

As your sister in Islam I would like you to read my thoughts and understand what I'm feeling. These will be expressed in rants, poems and most importantly through the Hadith and the Sunnah. Please feel free to comment and share.

May Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) accept my intentions and as well as yours.
اللهم امين

جزاك اللهُ خيراً
